Flipkart offers 2 million jobs in 2015

Flipkart Recruitment 2015: Domestic e commerce Flipkart says it aims to generate over 20 lakh jobs through its marketplaces and services in this year 2015. The company and its announcements also said that 60% of the job created will be in the logistics and warehousing sectors of these latest Flipkart vacancies.

The Senior Vice President (Marketplace) Ankith Nagori said in a statement about the flipkart upcoming jobs “Sellers on our marketplace have been directly responsible for driving employment within their own communities. In fact, e-commerce support facilities like merchandizing, buying, packaging and cataloging have generated more than 75,000 jobs in the last one year”. Going be fast trends, the company is confident that “Flipkart will generate close to 2 million jobs this year” he added.

Last year over half of a million jobs are estimated to have been created in the e-commerce space. Flipkart said the marketplace model has opened up opportunities in metros and non- metro cities. This year nearly 50-60 percent of the employment will be created through Flipkart recruitment 2015 in teir –II and tier-III cities. Flipkart said that “ Sellers plays a vital role in creation of Flipkart recruitment jobs in India, like sellers of home products, apparels, Mobile accessories and small appliances will generate the maximum employment of flipkart vacancies”. Flipkart said it is offering a range of SME training programmes across 20 cities in association with Ministry of Labour to train and guide interested people.

The growth and expansion of the business will generate a minimum of 20-25 jobs per seller this year. Flipkart was launched in 2007, now it has 30,000 sellers and over 3 million registered customers.
